To be successful as a Test Automation Engineer, you should have experience with:
Solid with Functional and E2E Test understanding.
Solid expertise in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
Hands-on experience in API testing and automation (REST/SOAP using tools like Postman, RestAssured, Karate).
Proficiency in programming languages (Java, or similar for automation scripting).
Knowledge of Banking domain.
Ability to Leverage AI for Test Optimization, Data Analysis, etc.
Robust understanding of software testing principles, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
Detailed design for test engineering solutions and verification of this with test team stakeholders and Test architecture and design authorities

Some other highly valued skills may include:
Knowledge of Payments domain (such as SWIFT, ISO 20022, real-time payments).
Exposure to test management tools (such as JIRA, Confluence)

Collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to the development of acceptance criteria, ensuring a thorough understanding of the software being tested.
Root cause analysis for identified defects, working closely with developers to provide detailed information and support defect resolution.
