Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and rate analyses for transportation infrastructure projects such as:
Roads & Highways
Bridges & Culverts
Urban/City Road Networks
Transport-related drainage, utilities & allied works
Study project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to derive accurate quantities.
Perform quantity take-offs (QTO) from AutoCAD drawings & IFC documents.
Conduct material & resource rate analysis as per market standards and government SoR.
Prepare cost comparisons, budgeting sheets, and pricing models for tenders.
Coordinate with site teams for actual consumption vs estimated quantities.
Evaluate subcontractor/vendor quotations and assist in final negotiations.
Support the management team during tender submission with financial inputs.
Maintain cost databases, price trends, and historical estimation records.




Ensure estimation meets timelines and accuracy benchmarks.

Required Skills
Robust knowledge of estimation & costing in transportation sector projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel (advanced), Rate Analysis, BOQ preparation.
Familiarity with MORTH, MB Schedule, DSR, State SoR etc.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.

Qualifications
BE in Civil Engineering/ME Transportation Engineer
35 years of relevant experience in transportation project estimation.

Detail-oriented and robust documentation skills.
