Role & responsibilities
Manage and supervise all laboratory operations, including Biochemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Histopathology, and Blood Collection Services.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of laboratory investigations.
Maintain NABL/NABH standards, quality assurance programs, and regulatory compliance.
Develop and implement laboratory policies, SOPs, and quality control procedures.
Monitor equipment maintenance, calibration, and inventory management.
Supervise laboratory staff, technicians, and phlebotomists and ensure adequate staffing levels.
Conduct training programs and competency assessments for laboratory personnel.
Coordinate with clinicians, nursing teams, and hospital management regarding laboratory services.
Analyze laboratory performance indicators and implement corrective actions where required.
Ensure adherence to infection control, biomedical waste management, and patient safety protocols.
Manage procurement, vendor coordination, and laboratory budgeting activities
