Role & responsibilities :
Prepare 2D and Isometric layouts of compressed air aluminium piping systems using AutoCAD.
Design piping routes based on customer layouts and plant requirements.
Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings.
Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) and material take-offs for project execution. (added advantage)
Coordinate with the sales, project, procurement, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Review customer drawings and site layouts before finalizing the design.
Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning.
Update design revisions based on customer feedback and site conditions.
Maintain engineering documentation and project records.
Study customer plant layouts and understand the existing infrastructure before designing the compressed air aluminium piping system.
Process excess material returns from project sites and ensure proper documentation and inventory updates.
Manage material inward and outward activities in coordination with the Quality Control (QC) team.
Perform pipe inward inspections, including Hydrostatic Test verification, and prepare inspection reports.
Conduct outgoing material inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards before dispatch.
Preferred candidate profile :
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Basic knowledge of compressed air systems and aluminium piping products.
Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T;, and piping layouts.
Ability to prepare BOMs and material estimations.
Valuable problem-solving and communication skills.
Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
