Flatscanner (flatscanner.ai) is an AI house-hunting analyst for the Indian rental market, starting with Bangalore. Paste any rental listing — from a broker site, a WhatsApp group, anywhere — and Flatscanner returns a Flat Score: the real commute time to your office, how the rent compares to the locality median, what is within 1 km (metro, gym, grocery, hospital, schools), and the red flags the listing does not mention. We do not compete on listing supply; we are the analysis layer on top of the listings that already exist.

The product is live and this is the company's first hire.

Role Description

We are seeking a Growth & Community Associate for a part time, contract position based in Bangalore (remote-friendly, but the role requires first-hand knowledge of the city's rental market).

You will own the demand side of our launch: maintaining a daily presence in the Telegram, WhatsApp and Facebook groups where people actually hunt for flats, replying to real listings with real analysis, reaching out to people who have recently moved to Bangalore, running short interviews with people who use a report, and maintaining the tracking sheet that tells us what is working. You will report back to the founder every evening with what you heard — patterns,



not anecdotes. From month two, you will also draft relocation outreach to company HR teams and data-led posts for local communities.

This is not a broadcasting role. It is participation, conversation and careful record-keeping, and it is the work that decides whether this product finds its market. You will be the first person other than the founder to talk to our users, and what you report back will change what gets built.

Qualifications
First-hand experience house-hunting in Bangalore recently, and transparent opinions about what made it difficult
Robust short-form written communication in English and Hinglish — the kind of message people actually reply to
Existing presence in, or working knowledge of, Bangalore house-hunting groups on Telegram, WhatsApp and Facebook
Comfort initiating conversations with strangers over DM, at volume, without a script
Disciplined record-keeping, and the ability to summarise what users said into patterns worth acting on
Ability to work independently with a founder, approximately 3–4 hours a day, 5 days a week
Experience running short user interviews is a plus; prior real estate experience is not required
