We are looking for an experienced Merchandising & Product Development Manager to join our India team and take ownership of the end-to-end product development and merchandising process.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands how products move from design concept → factory development → costing → sampling → revisions → approval → production.

You will work closely with our US-based product and design team, Indian factories and suppliers, and our internal operations team to ensure new products are developed efficiently, competitively and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end product development from CAD/design brief to approved sample.
Coordinate prototypes, samples, revisions and shipments to the USA.
Work closely with the US design/product team and Indian suppliers.
Track development timelines and ensure projects move forward on schedule.
Coordinate with the production team once products are approved.
Identify quality or production issues and escalate when required.




Maintain transparent product development and PO trackers and provide weekly updates.

Requirements
5+ years of experience in merchandising, product development or sourcing.
Solid experience working with Indian factories and suppliers.
Experience in the handicrafts sector.
Robust understanding of product costing and manufacturing.
Excellent negotiation, communication and follow-up skills.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple developments simultaneously.
Comfortable working with CADs, drawings, samples and specifications.
Willingness to travel to factories when required.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands products, factories and costing — and can turn a design concept into a commercially viable finished product.
