The role will be responsible for maintaining meter communication performance, ensuring data availability and billing readiness, executing remote meter operations, managing operational incidents, adhering to service level agreements (SLAs), safeguarding data integrity, and delivering timely operational reporting.
Overall Responsibility
Ensure stable and compliant day-to-day HES & MDM operations, with focus on meter communication, data availability, billing readiness, remote operations, SLA adherence, data integrity, issue resolution, and timely operational reporting.
HES & MDM Operations
- HES/MDM Meter Onboarding & Configuration: End-to-end onboarding of smart meters in HES and MDM, including meter registration, communication validation, parameter/configuration checks, meter categorization, and ensuring successful data flow between HES and MDM.
- Operational Monitoring & Health Checks: Continuous monitoring of HES/MDM operations to ensure meter communication, data availability, scheduled jobs, interfaces, and critical services are functioning as per defined operational requirements and SLAs.
- ODR Execution & Billing Data Push: Planning and execution of On-Demand Read (ODR) activities for required meters, monitoring ODR success/failure, troubleshooting exceptions, and ensuring timely and accurate billing data is pushed from HES to MDM.
- Event & Data Monitoring: Monitoring and validation of LS, DP, BP, power-related and other meter events to ensure complete and accurate event capture, processing, and availability in downstream systems. Identification and resolution of missing, delayed, duplicate, or incorrect event data.
- SIM/NSP Issue Management: Handling communication-related issues associated with SIMs, Network Service Providers (NSPs), network connectivity, signal/communication failures, and non-communicating meters, including coordination with relevant teams for timely resolution.
- RC/DC & Complaint Support: Managing and monitoring Remote Connect (RC) / Disconnect (DC) activities, validating command execution and meter responses, troubleshooting failed operations, and providing technical support for consumer complaints related to meter communication and remote operations.
- SLA Calculation, Validation & Submission: Compilation and analysis of operational data for SLA measurement,
including communication availability, data availability, command execution, ODR performance, and other contractual parameters. Validation of SLA calculations and preparation/submission of supporting reports.
- SAT Data Verification & Exception Management: Verification of SAT/UAT-related meter and transaction data across HES and MDM, identification of discrepancies, coordination with technical teams for corrections, and preparation of exception/mismatch reports for closure.
- Penalty Calculation & Compliance Activities: Analysis of SLA/service-performance data for penalty applicability, validation of penalty calculations against contractual conditions, preparation of supporting statements, and coordination with concerned stakeholders for review, reconciliation, and closure.
- Cross-System Data Validation: Regular reconciliation of meter, communication, billing, event, and operational data between HES, MDM and integrated utility systems to identify data gaps and ensure consistency and integrity across the application landscape.
- Issue Tracking & Resolution Coordination: Maintaining operational issue trackers, prioritizing critical HES/MDM issues, coordinating with application, database, infrastructure, SIM/NSP, and integration teams, and ensuring timely closure of identified issues.
- MIS & Management Reporting: Preparation of periodic operational dashboards, MIS reports, exception reports, SLA reports, meter communication status, ODR performance, billing data status, event status, and other management reports required for project monitoring and review.
Requirements
