Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Oracle Cloud HCM Consultant with deep expertise in US Payroll to support implementation, configuration, and ongoing production support of payroll processes. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with US payroll regulations, tax setup, and end-to-end payroll cycle configuration in Oracle Cloud.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support full-cycle Oracle Cloud US Payroll implementations, including configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Configure Elements, Element Eligibility, Balances, Fast Formulas, and Payroll Definitions.
- Set up and manage US-specific tax configurations, including federal, state, and local tax setups (via Vertex or Oracle's native tax engine).
- Configure Payroll Costing, Payroll Statutory Units (PSUs), Tax Reporting Units (TRUs), and Legal Employers.
- Manage Payroll Processes: Payroll Runs, Prepayments, Costing, Payments, Retro Pay, and Balance Adjustments.
- Support Year-End processing, W-2 processing, and quarter-end tax filings/reconciliation.
- Collaborate with Core HR, Compensation, Benefits, and Time & Labor teams to ensure accurate payroll data flow.
- Prepare functional specifications for payroll-related interfaces, reports, and extensions.
- Perform parallel testing, payroll validation, and issue resolution during UAT and hypercare.
- Provide production support,
troubleshoot payroll discrepancies, and recommend process optimizations.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–6 years of overall HCM experience with at least 2–3 full-cycle Oracle Cloud US Payroll implementations.
- Robust hands-on experience with Payroll configuration: Elements, Fast Formulas, Balances, and Payroll Definitions.
- Solid understanding of US payroll compliance, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Experience with Vertex tax integration or Oracle's native payroll tax engine.
- Experience with Year-End processing and W-2/tax filing cycles.
- Working knowledge of related modules (Core HR, Time & Labor, Benefits) and their integration with Payroll.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and client communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll Certification (highly preferred).
- Experience with HCM Extracts, HDL, and OTBI/BI Publisher reporting for payroll.
- Prior experience in a consulting or multi-client support environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with business stakeholders and technical teams.
