Experience Range: 8 to 15 Years

Location: Chennai/Bengaluru/Hyderabad

Must Have:

Core Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with:
- VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer (AVI)
- NSX-T / NSX-V
- Deep understanding of:
- TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSL/TLS
- Load balancing algorithms (Round Robin, Least Connections, etc.)
- Experience with:
- Reverse proxy, NAT, routing, switching
- High availability and failover mechanisms

Cloud & Virtualization

- Experience with:
- VMware vSphere / vCenter
- Public cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Kubernetes / OpenShift (preferred)

Automation & Tools

- Hands-on experience with:
- Python / Shell scripting
- Ansible / Terraform
- Exposure to Git, CI/CD pipelines

Valuable-to-Have:

- Experience with F5 / Citrix Netscaler (for migration projects)
- Web Application Firewall (WAF) expertise
- Service Mesh / Microservices networking

Essential:

Architecture & Design

- Design and implement VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer (AVI) solutions.
- Build highly available, scalable L4L7 load balancing architectures.
- Define networking strategies for data centers, private cloud,



and hybrid cloud environments.
- Integrate AVI with NSX-T, vCenter, Kubernetes, and public clouds (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Implementation & Configuration

- Deploy and configure:
- AVI Controllers & Service Engines
- Virtual Services (VS), Pools, Profiles
- SSL/TLS offloading and security policies
- Implement advanced features:
- Web Application Firewall (WAF)
- Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB)
- Content switching, SSL profiles, health monitoring

Operations & Troubleshooting

- Perform L2L7 network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, SSL).
- Monitor performance using AVI analytics and dashboards.
- Resolve production issues and optimize traffic flow.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents.

Automation & Integration

- Develop automation using:
- REST APIs (AVI API)
- Python / Ansible / Terraform
- Integrate AVI with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
- Support Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) initiatives.

Security & Compliance

- Implement secure configurations (SSL/TLS, WAF, access control).
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards.
- Work closely with InfoSec teams.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

- Create design documents, SOPs, and runbooks.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide SME-level guidance.
