Role & responsibilities

The Associate Manager, Global Procurement - R&D; Clinical Portfolio Sourcing independently manages sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and procurement governance activities in support of Regenerons global clinical portfolio. This role partners with Clinical Development Unit (CDU) stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and suppliers to translate study and portfolio requirements into sourcing strategies, commercial agreements, and supplier solutions.

The role supports Global Clinical Category strategy execution through supplier evaluation, negotiation support, contract management, and budget stewardship activities that enable quality, compliance, cost effectiveness, and timely delivery of clinical development priorities.

Key Accountabilities

- Independently manage assigned sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and procurement governance activities in alignment with clinical portfolio priorities, study requirements, and category strategies.
- Support category strategy execution by applying supply market intelligence, benchmarking, supplier insights, and internal business requirements to sourcing recommendations and decision-making.
- Partner with Clinical Operations, Data Management, Biostatistics, Medical, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to align supplier deliverables, contract terms, budget expectations, and decision points.
- Lead or support sourcing events, supplier evaluations, proposal analysis, negotiations, statement of work development, contract execution, and supplier onboarding for assigned clinical sourcing activities.
- Manage contracts through the lifecycle, including negotiation support, execution, compliance monitoring, change order management, renewal planning, and issue resolution.
- Apply procurement policies, governance standards, and documentation expectations consistently; escalate risks, exceptions, and approvals when needed.
- Support supplier performance management through governance meetings, key performance indicator (KPI) review,



issue management, corrective actions, and continuous improvement follow-up.
- Review supplier assumptions, rate cards, task-unit pricing, change order rationale, and commercial terms to support budget stewardship, negotiation readiness, and cost transparency.
- Identify and mitigate supplier, commercial, operational, compliance, and delivery risks while supporting inspection readiness and applicable GxP, International Council for Harmonisation (ICH), privacy, quality, and Regeneron policy expectations.
- Use procurement systems, data, market intelligence, benchmarking, SharePoint, Copilot, eSourcing, and other digital tools to improve productivity, documentation, analysis, and decision support.

Job Requirements

- Bachelors degree in a relevant field of study plus relevant, progressive procurement, sourcing, category management, supplier management, or clinical development procurement experience.
- Experience supporting or managing sourcing and contracting activities in Pharma, BioPharma, clinical development, R&D;, healthcare, contract research organization (CRO), laboratory, or other regulated environments preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage assigned sourcing, contracting, supplier, and stakeholder activities with appropriate escalation and governance.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs, define supplier requirements, support negotiations, and enable timely execution of sourcing and contracting deliverables.
- Working knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing methods, contract lifecycle management, supplier engagement,



and procure-to-pay interdependencies.
- Ability to review supplier proposals, rate cards, task-unit costs, pricing assumptions, change orders, and commercial terms to support negotiation and budget stewardship.
- Ability to use market intelligence, supplier information, benchmarking, and internal data to support sourcing strategies, supplier recommendations, and procurement decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and suppliers across geographies, functions, and cultures.
- Strong communication, problem solving, critical thinking, and influencing skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a matrixed global workplace.
- Ability to support regulated procurement activities with attention to quality, compliance, documentation, inspection readiness, data privacy, and applicable GxP expectations.
- Experience with sourcing, contracting, spend analytics, collaboration, and business productivity tools preferred, such as Oracle, Zycus, Archlet, Sievo, iCertis, Copilot, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or equivalent platforms.
- Ability to work effectively with global teams across time zones while supporting India-based execution and global procurement priorities.

Preferred Capabilities

- Familiarity with clinical outsourcing, CRO services, central labs, imaging, electronic clinical outcome assessment (eCOA), interactive response technology (IRT), data management, biostatistics, specialty providers, or other clinical development supplier categories.
- Experience supporting supplier governance, KPI tracking, supplier issue management, and continuous improvement activities.
- Experience contributing to procurement capability building, process optimization, automation, digital adoption, or AI-enabled productivity improvements.
- Ability to balance cost, quality, risk, compliance, timelines, stakeholder expectations, and patient impact when supporting procurement decisions.
