Hiring | Medical Coder Dermatology E/M(WORK FROM HOME)

Experience: 3- 5 Years (Relevant)

We are looking for an experienced Medical Coder with expertise in Dermatology coding E/M to to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

- Audit dermatology charts, including E/M, biopsies, excisions, destruction, Mohs, and cryotherapy.
- Validate documentation for medical necessity, modifier usage (-25, -59/-XS/-XU, -51), and pathology correlation.
- Apply applicable CMS, NCCI, and payer LCD/NCD guidelines.
- Prepare documentation improvement feedback.
- Support provider education based on audit findings.

Requirements

- 3-4 years of dermatology-specific coding/auditing experience.
- Active CPC, CPMA, CCS, or CDEO certification.




- Solid knowledge of dermatology CPT coding.
- Working knowledge of 2023 E/M MDM guidelines and modifier application.
- Strong written communication skills for audit documentation.
- Prior audit experience is preferred, even if auditing is not the candidate's primary current role.
- Preferred

- Multi-provider/multi-site audit experience.
- CDI exposure.
- Experience with EMA, Athena, or Epic.
