We are looking for a compassionate and skilled ICU Staff Nurse to provide quality nursing care to critically ill patients. The candidate will be responsible for continuous patient monitoring, medication administration, assisting doctors during procedures, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring compliance with hospital and ICU protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill and unstable patients.
- Monitor and record vital signs, ECG, SpO₂, blood pressure, temperature, and other clinical parameters.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, injections, and other treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patients on ventilators, infusion pumps, monitors, and other ICU equipment.
- Identify and promptly report any changes in the patient's condition to the treating doctor/ICU in-charge.
- Assist doctors during emergency procedures, intubation, CPR, central line procedures, and other ICU interventions.
- Maintain proper documentation of nursing care, medication, investigations, and patient progress.
- Follow medication safety protocols, including the 5 Rights of Medication Administration.
- Maintain strict infection prevention and control practices.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of biomedical waste.
- Perform and assist with patient care procedures such as catheter care, dressing, suctioning, bed sore prevention, and positioning.
- Maintain cleanliness, readiness, and proper functioning of ICU equipment.
- Ensure proper handover of patients during shift changes.
- Coordinate with doctors, technicians, attendants, and other healthcare professionals for patient care.
- Educate and communicate appropriately with patients' relatives regarding nursing-related matters.
- Follow hospital policies, nursing protocols, NABH standards, and patient safety guidelines.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and participate in Code Blue/CPR activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Qualification
- B.Sc. Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution.
- Valid nursing registration with the respective State Nursing Council.
Experience
- 1–3 years of ICU experience preferred.
- Freshers with relevant ICU training/internship may also be considered.
Required Skills
- Good clinical and patient-care skills.
- Knowledge of ICU procedures and equipment.
- Basic knowledge of ventilator and cardiac monitoring.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations.
- Responsible, disciplined, and compassionate approach towards patients.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.

· Admits and discharges the patient.
· Maintains personal hygiene and comforts of the patient.
· Attends to the nutritional needs of the patient, prepares invalid’s diet and feeds helpless patients.
· Maintains clean and secure environment for the patients.
· Implements and maintains ward policies and routines.
· Co-ordinates patient care with various health team members.
· Follows doctors’ rounds.
· Performs technical task, e.g., administration of medication, assisting doctors in various medical procedures, preparing articles and the patient for medical or nursing procedures, recording vital signs, tube feeding, giving enema, bowel wash dressing, stomach wash, eye and ear care, collection and sending of specimens, pre-and post-operative care. Assists in administration of transfusion, perineal care, etc.
· Maintains intake and output chart.
· Observes change in-patient’s condition and records, takes necessary action and reports to the concerned authority.
· Imparts health education to the patient and his/her family.
· Accompanies very ill patients sent to other departments or transferred to other institutions.
Ward Management
· Hands over and takes over the patient and ward equipment and supply.
· Keeps the Ward neat and tidy.
· Maintains safety of the ward equipments.
· Prepares and checks ward supplies.
Maintains ward record and reports assigned to her/him by the sister in charge.

Pay: ₹14,690.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
