Job Title: Drawing Checker – Piping & Structural

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Drawing Checker with strong knowledge of Piping and Structural drawings to ensure accuracy, quality, compliance and constructability of engineering deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

- Check Piping Isometrics, Pipe Spool, GA and Layout drawings against P&IDs;, line lists, specifications and client requirements.
- Review Structural GA, fabrication and detailing drawings for accuracy and constructability.
- Verify dimensions, materials, line numbers, supports, weld details, BOM/MTO and revisions.
- Identify clashes, routing errors, interference, dimensional and constructability issues.
- Review 3D models and perform clash checks using Navisworks / SmartReview or equivalent tools.
- Provide redline markups and coordinate with engineers/designers for corrections.
- Ensure all comments are incorporated and drawings are completed within project schedules.

Education:

- B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or relevant Engineering discipline.

Experience:

- 3–7 years of relevant experience in Piping / Structural Drawing Checking.
- Hands-on experience in EPC, engineering consultancy, boiler, oil & gas, fabrication or industrial projects.
- Experience in independently checking engineering drawing packages and coordinating with design/engineering teams.




- Experience in piping isometrics, pipe spool drawings, GA drawings, structural fabrication/detailing and 3D model review.

Mandatory Skills

- Strong knowledge of Piping and Structural Drawing Checking.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs;, line lists, piping isometrics, GA drawings and structural drawings.
- Good knowledge of piping components, material classes, supports, weld details and fabrication requirements.
- Good knowledge of structural detailing, connections, fabrication and constructability.
- Ability to identify errors, discrepancies, clashes, interference, dimensional issues and missing information.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant drawing review/checking tools.
- Working knowledge of Navisworks / SmartReview or equivalent 3D model review tools.
- Valuable understanding of project specifications, applicable codes and client standards.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in Piping & Structural 3D model checking.
- Experience in clash detection and constructability review.
- Knowledge of piping support and structural support arrangements.
- Experience in checking complete drawing packages independently.
- Ability to provide technically clear redline comments.
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.
- Experience guiding junior checkers/detailers.
