Music Teacher – Job Description

Job Title: Music Teacher

We are looking for a passionate, creative, and skilled Music Teacher to join our school. The candidate will be responsible for teaching music to students, developing their musical skills, and preparing them for school events, competitions, and cultural programmes.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach music to students according to their age and learning level.
- Provide training in singing, vocal exercises, rhythm, and basic music theory.
- Teach and guide students in playing musical instruments.
- Prepare students for school functions, annual days, assemblies, competitions, and cultural events.
- Organize music practices and group performances.
- Encourage students to develop confidence, creativity, and interest in music.
- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment during music classes.
- Select suitable songs and performances according to school activities.




- Coordinate with other teachers for cultural programmes and special events.
- Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Music or a related field preferred.
- Good knowledge of vocal music and/or musical instruments.
- Solid communication and classroom-management skills.
- Ability to work with students of different age groups.
- Creative, enthusiastic, patient, and responsible.
- Previous school teaching experience will be an advantage.

Preferred

- Ability to play instruments such as Keyboard, Harmonium, Guitar, Tabla, or Drum.
- Experience in preparing students for stage performances and competitions.
- Basic knowledge of modern music and school cultural activities.
