Job Summary

We are looking for a **Senior Python Backend Engineer – Cloud & Architecture** with **10–15 years of experience** in designing and developing scalable enterprise backend applications and cloud-native solutions.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in **Python and FastAPI**, along with experience in **Azure/AWS, SQL Server, enterprise integration, event-driven architecture, CI/CD, Terraform, and security frameworks such as OAuth2/OIDC**.

The candidate will be responsible for **solution architecture ownership**, technical design, backend development, cloud integration, and ensuring scalable, secure, and highly available enterprise systems.

Exposure to **AI/ML, RAG, Generative AI, or AI Agent architectures** will be a strong differentiator.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using **Python and FastAPI**.

* Own the **technical architecture and solution design** for enterprise-grade backend systems.

* Design cloud-native solutions using **Microsoft Azure and/or AWS**.

* Develop highly scalable and maintainable REST APIs and backend services.

* Design and implement **enterprise integration solutions** connecting multiple applications, services, and external systems.

* Build and support **event-driven architectures** using technologies such as **Apache Kafka, Azure Service Bus**, or similar messaging platforms.

* Design and optimize **SQL Server databases**, queries, stored procedures, and data access layers.

* Apply strong **data architecture and database design** principles to enterprise applications.

* Implement infrastructure automation and provisioning using **Terraform**.

* Develop and maintain **CI/CD pipelines** for automated build, testing, deployment, and release management.





* Implement secure authentication and authorization using **OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC)**, tokens, and API security practices.

* Ensure applications follow enterprise standards for **security, scalability, reliability, performance, and observability**.

* Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, and architecture discussions.

* Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide root-cause analysis.

* Collaborate with engineering, cloud, DevOps, security, data, and business teams.

* Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance on architecture and development best practices.

Required Skills

Backend Development

* 10–15 years of overall software engineering experience.

* Strong hands-on experience with **Python**.

* Strong experience developing APIs and backend services using **FastAPI**.

* Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend architecture.

* Experience with enterprise-scale application development.

Cloud & Architecture

* Strong experience with **Microsoft Azure and/or AWS**.

* Proven experience designing **cloud-native and distributed systems**.

* Strong understanding of scalability, availability, resilience, and performance.

* Experience taking **solution architecture ownership** from design through implementation.

Data & SQL

* Robust **SQL Server** experience.

* Excellent SQL/T-SQL skills, query optimization, and database design.

* Strong understanding of **data architecture and enterprise data integration**.

* Experience designing efficient data access and processing solutions.

Enterprise Integration & Event-Driven Systems

* Strong experience with **enterprise application integration**.





* Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures.

* Experience with **Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or similar messaging/event-streaming technologies**.

* Understanding of asynchronous processing, messaging patterns, retries, and fault tolerance.

DevOps & Infrastructure

* Strong experience with **CI/CD pipelines**.

* Hands-on experience with **Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC)**.

* Understanding of automated deployments, environment management, and release processes.

* Experience working with cloud-based DevOps practices.

Security

* Strong understanding of API and application security.

* Hands-on experience with **OAuth2 and OpenID Connect (OIDC)**.

* Understanding of authentication, authorization, tokens, and secure API integration.

Good to Have / Strong Differentiator

* Experience with **AI/ML-enabled applications**.

* Experience with **Generative AI / LLM applications**.

* Hands-on experience with **RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)** architectures.

* Experience with **AI Agents / Agentic AI** solutions.

* Experience integrating AI services into enterprise backend applications.

* Azure OpenAI or similar cloud AI platform experience.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a **senior backend engineer / technical lead / solution architect** who combines strong hands-on Python development skills with enterprise architecture and cloud expertise.

You should be comfortable owning technical decisions, working across engineering and infrastructure teams, solving complex integration problems, and building secure and scalable backend platforms.
