Salary Range: ₹60,000 to ₹70,000 per month, depending upon qualification, experience and suitability

Job Summary
The Manager – Finance, Accounts & Compliance shall lead and manage the Finance and Accounts Department of the Society. The selected candidate will be responsible for financial planning, accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, audit coordination, budgeting, payment verification and management reporting. The position will be based at the Talwara Head Office.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and supervise the Finance and Accounts Department and allocate work among the accounts team.
- Ensure the accurate and timely maintenance of books of accounts, ledgers, vouchers, invoices and supporting financial records.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Account and Cash Flow Statement.
- Prepare annual budgets, project-wise budgets, cash-flow projections, fund requirements and expenditure-control reports.
- Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, EPF, ESI and all other applicable statutory requirements.
- Review and verify salary sheets, vendor payments, skilled fees, reimbursements, travel claims, advances, recoveries and other financial transactions before submission for final approval.
- Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank balances, advances, outstanding dues and working-capital requirements.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and ensure that all banking transactions are properly recorded and supported.
- Coordinate statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits,
cooperative audits and government or departmental inspections.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of audit records and compliance with all audit observations.
- Prepare Management Information System reports and present the financial position, liabilities, expenses, recoveries and budget variances to the Management.
- Maintain project-wise and branch-wise accounts for the Society’s different programmes, departments and operational units.
- Monitor the proper utilisation of grants, subsidies, government funds and institutional funding.
- Prepare utilisation certificates, financial progress reports and supporting statements required by government departments, banks and funding agencies.
- Review commercial proposals, tenders, agreements, purchase orders and contracts from financial, taxation and compliance perspectives.
- Establish and implement effective internal financial controls, approval systems and standard accounting procedures.
- Coordinate with banks, Chartered Accountants, auditors, advocates, government departments, cooperative authorities and other external agencies.
- Support the Management in financial planning, pricing decisions, cost analysis, procurement evaluation and business planning.
- Ensure that statutory returns, taxes, fees and other government dues are filed and deposited within the prescribed timelines.
- Guide and train accounts executives and other concerned employees regarding accounting procedures and statutory requirements.
- Maintain complete confidentiality of the Society’s financial information, passwords, banking records, agreements and official documents.
- Ensure that no financial record or confidential information is shared with any unauthorised person without prior written approval of the competent authority.
- Provide financial records and reports to the Management Committee, Managing Director or authorised officials whenever required.
- Ensure proper handover, custody and preservation of all physical and digital financial records.
- Perform any other financial, accounting, taxation, audit or compliance-related work assigned by the Management.
Qualification and Experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant and active member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience is preferred.
- Experience in cooperative societies, manufacturing units, agriculture-based organisations, government-funded projects or the social sector will be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, accounting standards, audit procedures and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in Tally/ERP software, MS Excel and digital accounting systems.
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, documentation and team-management skills.
- The candidate must demonstrate high professional integrity, accountability and confidentiality.
Place of Posting
The selected candidate shall be posted at the Talwara Head Office, District Hoshiarpur, Punjab. The role is primarily office-based; however, official visits may be required for audits, banking work, departmental coordination or other assignments authorised by the Management.
Employment Conditions
The appointment shall be governed by the rules, policies, confidentiality requirements and administrative instructions of the Society. The final salary and other applicable benefits shall be decided based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, previous remuneration and performance during the selection process.
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
