Position: Junior Engineer – Civil

Job Summary

The Junior Engineer is responsible for assisting in the supervision and coordination of construction activities at project sites, ensuring that work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project schedules. The role involves supporting site operations for commercial buildings, residential developments, and industrial building projects while coordinating with Site Engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in supervising day-to-day construction activities at the project site.
- Ensure construction work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and instructions from the Site Engineer.
- Assist in coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, supervisors, and workers for smooth execution of construction activities.
- Monitor work progress and support the Site Engineer in achieving project schedules.
- Assist in planning and coordinating manpower, materials, and equipment at the site.
- Check quantities and assist in monitoring material usage and requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure proper workmanship and quality of construction.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with site safety rules and HSE requirements.
- Read and interpret basic architectural, structural, and civil engineering drawings.
- Assist in checking reinforcement, shuttering, concrete, masonry, plastering, flooring, and other civil works.




- Take site measurements and maintain measurement records.
- Assist in quantity verification, estimation, billing, and preparation of basic site records.
- Prepare and maintain daily progress reports and other site documentation.
- Identify site issues and report them to the Site Engineer for necessary action.
- Assist in coordinating inspections, testing, and approvals as required.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions at the project site.
- Support the Site Engineer in maintaining quality, progress, and documentation throughout the project.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Basic knowledge of commercial, residential, and industrial building construction.
- Positive understanding of civil construction activities and site practices.

Preferred Experience

(0 to 3 years)

- Freshers and candidates with up to 3 years of experience in building construction projects can apply.
- Basic knowledge of quality control, safety compliance, measurements, and project documentation.
- Ability to coordinate with Site Engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and workers.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office/Excel will be an added advantage.
