We are looking for a skilled and responsible VMC Setter cum Operator to operate and set Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) machines for precision component manufacturing company at Attibele Industrial Area Hosur Road Bangalore. The candidate should have good knowledge of machine setting, tool selection, offsets, drawing reading, and inspection of components.

Key Responsibilities

- Set and operate VMC machines as per production requirements.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and machining instructions.
- Perform tool selection, tool setting and tool offset corrections.
- Set work offsets and machine parameters.
- Load/unload components and ensure proper clamping and alignment.
- Monitor machining operations and maintain required production quality.
- Measure components using Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge and other inspection instruments.
- Make necessary offset corrections to maintain dimensional accuracy.
- Identify and report machining defects, tool wear and machine abnormalities.
- Maintain production targets and minimize rejection and tool wastage.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain cleanliness of the work area.
- Maintain basic production and inspection records.
- Coordinate with the Production Supervisor and Quality team.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of VMC machine operation and setting.
- Knowledge of Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi controls is preferred.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.




- Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, speeds and feeds.
- Knowledge of tool offsets and work offsets.
- Knowledge of basic GD&T; will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of measuring instruments.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic machining and setting problems.
- Willingness to work in shifts if required.

Qualification

- ITI / Diploma – Mechanical / Machinist / CNC & VMC
- Relevant experience in VMC machining preferred.

Experience

2–5 years of experience as a VMC Setter, VMC Operator, CNC VMC Setter/Operator or similar role.

- Good discipline and attendance.
- Able to work independently as well as with a team.
- Willing to work in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
