EZHOMZ
Luxury Residential Automation · Smart Building Integration · Delhi NCR
We are hiring
Project Manager
Home Automation & Lighting Control
Location- Delhi NCR
Experience- 4-10 yrs
Reports to- Founder, EZHomz
Type- Full time, on site
Read this line first. This role is for someone who has personally programmed automation systems — KNX, Lutron, Crestron, Control4, RTI or ELAN — and has since moved into managing projects without losing that ability. If you have coordinated automation work but never opened the programming software yourself, this is not the right role for you, and we would rather say so here than at the interview.
About EZHOMZ
EZHOMZ designs and delivers automation for luxury residences across Delhi NCR — KNX and DALI lighting control, curtain and comfort systems, and OKAS integration, working with brands including Ekinex, Moorgen and Blacknova. Our clients are homeowners with high expectations and architects and interior designers who hold us to their standard.
We are deliberately building EZHOMZ into a professionally managed company rather than a founder-dependent one. This seat is a central part of that: it exists so that projects run on their own momentum, with the founder consulted on decisions rather than chased for them.
The role
You will own three to six live residences at a time, from the point the BOQ is approved through to client sign-off and handover into service. You are the person who knows the state of every one of them without being asked, and who never lets one slip because another was loud.
This is not a coordination seat. You will size the programming work honestly, challenge an optimistic estimate, cover a programmer who is unavailable, and hold a technical position in front of an architect or an MEP consultant without escalating it. That is why the programming background matters: a manager who can open the project file is a different animal from one who can only ask about it.
What you will actually do
– Own the delivery plan. Convert the approved automation BOQ into a sequenced site plan — first fix, conduiting and back-boxes, panel space, device mounting, commissioning, scene programming, client training, handover.
– Drive site readiness. Work ahead of the trades so our team never mobilises to a site that is not ready.
Get conduiting and back-box positions right with the electrician and the interior designer before the ceiling closes, because after that everything costs ten times more.
– Own the programming plan. Size the work, supervise or perform the platform programming, and validate the system yourself before it goes anywhere near the client.
– Run the cadence. A live schedule, a weekly progress report the client can read, a decision log, and drawing revision control. Escalations arrive with a recommendation attached, or they are not escalations.
– Protect the commercials. Defend the BOQ, price variations honestly, verify vendor bills, and raise commercial exposure early rather than at handover.
– Coordinate the ecosystem. Architect, interior designer, MEP consultant, electrician, carpenter, site engineer and vendor partners — everyone should know what is needed, by whom, by when, and what it depends on.
– Carry the client relationship on site. Set expectations, avoid surprises, and leave every interaction with the client more confident than before it. Never expose internal confusion.
– Close properly. Client training at handover, a complete documentation pack, and a clean transition into service and AMC.
Essential — we will not compromise on these
– Hands-on programming on KNX (ETS) or Lutron. You have built the topology, addressed the devices, written the scenes and commissioned on site yourself — not stood beside the person who did.
– Working capability on at least one control platform: Crestron, Control4, RTI or ELAN. Tell us which, and which software you used.
– The journey: engineer, then programmer, then project ownership. At least two years in a programming seat before you moved into managing.
– 4–10 years total experience, with the ability to run three or more live residences concurrently.
– Presence. You can sit with an HNI client, an architect and an interior designer, hold the room, and write to them afterwards in a way that builds confidence.
– Delhi NCR base,
or a genuine willingness to relocate.
Desirable, not essential
– DALI commissioning depth — short addressing, groups and scenes, and what has to happen when a fixture is replaced after handover.
– KNX Partner certification, or a Crestron, Control4, Lutron, RTI or ELAN dealer certification.
– Experience of luxury residential finish standards, and the disruption tolerance that comes with working in an occupied home.
– A scheduling and reporting habit you can show us, not only describe.
– Exposure to OKAS or comparable integration platforms.
This role is probably not for you if
– You have managed automation projects without ever programming one. You would spend the first year unable to judge the work your team is doing, and you would not enjoy it.
– You want one flagship project to pour yourself into. This seat runs several at once, and the skill is holding all of them.
– You would rather be at a desk than on site. Much of this job happens standing in a half-built room with a drawing in your hand.
What we offer
– Complete residences, not fragments. You own the project from BOQ handover to sign-off, with real decision authority inside it.
– An engineered standard to work from. Our BOQ logic, design standards and technical references already exist, so your time goes into delivery rather than reinvention.
– Direct access to the founder and a genuine say in how the delivery function is built, at a moment when it is being built.
– Continued technical growth. We will fund platform certification. We would rather you got better at the craft than drifted away from it.
– Compensation: Depends on Interview
How to apply
Write to
[email protected] with your CV and a short note answering three things:
– Which platforms have you personally programmed, and which software did you use?
– What is the most difficult commissioning problem you have solved yourself — what went wrong, what you tried, and how it ended?
– How many projects were you running at the same time, at peak?
We read these properly. A specific, honest answer to the second question will get you further than a long CV.
