Centre Head – Hyderabad

Organization: Lighthouse Communities Foundation
Location: Hyderabad
Experience: 4–8 Years
Employment Type: Full-time

Lead a Centre. Build a Team. Create Pathways to Better Futures.

A Lighthouse Centre is more than a training space.

It is where a young person can discover a skill, build confidence, meet a mentor, prepare for their first interview, and take a step towards a sustainable livelihood.

As Centre Head, you will be responsible for making that journey possible — every day, for every learner.

We are looking for a passionate and driven leader to own the end-to-end implementation and operations of a Lighthouse Centre in Hyderabad, lead a team of 4–7 people, build strong community and employer partnerships, and drive outcomes that matter.

If you enjoy turning strategy into execution, developing people, solving problems on the ground, and building partnerships that create opportunities for young people, this could be your next leadership opportunity.

About Lighthouse Communities Foundation

Lighthouse Communities Foundation works to empower underserved youth with the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to build sustainable careers and livelihoods.

Through our work with government, corporates, NGOs, employers, communities, skilling partners, and volunteers, we create pathways that connect young people to education, skills, employment, and economic opportunity.

Our work is guided by four values:

Empathy | Inclusion | Integrity | Courage

Your Mission as Centre Head

Think of the Centre Head as the owner of the learner experience and the centre's impact.

You will bring together:

People + Programs + Partnerships + Operations + Data = Youth Outcomes

Your responsibility is to ensure that all these pieces work together — from the quality of program delivery and team performance to employer relationships and placement outcomes.

What You Will Lead

Own the Program From Start to Finish

- Lead the end-to-end implementation of the Lighthouse Program at the assigned centre.
- Ensure all program activities are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
- Monitor learner participation, engagement, completion, and employment outcomes.
- Identify gaps and implement improvements to strengthen program effectiveness.
- Translate organisational priorities into clear centre-level action plans.

Turn Training Into Career Opportunities

A successful centre doesn't simply train young people.

It helps them move towards livelihoods.

You will:

- Facilitate employment and placement opportunities for learners.
- Coordinate interview schedules and ensure students are prepared for recruitment processes.
- Organise mock interviews, employer interactions, and career guidance sessions.
- Build relationships with local employers and identify new employment opportunities.
- Work closely with the Placement Manager to strengthen placement outcomes.

- Understand employer needs and help connect them with suitable candidates.

Lead People Who Lead Change

Your team is central to the centre's success.

You will lead a team of approximately 4–7 members and:

- Set clear priorities, expectations, and goals.
- Conduct regular team meetings and planning sessions.
- Support performance management and monthly reviews.
- Coach and mentor team members to build their capabilities.
- Track productivity and follow through on commitments.
- Create a culture of ownership, collaboration, learning, and inclusion.
- Recognise strengths and address performance challenges constructively.

Your success is not just what you achieve personally — it's what your team becomes capable of achieving.

Build a Centre Young People Want to Return To

- Ensure smooth day-to-day centre operations.
- Oversee administrative processes, infrastructure, and centre assets.
- Ensure the centre is safe, welcoming, inclusive, and learner-friendly.
- Create an environment where young people feel respected, supported, and motivated to learn.
- Identify operational issues early and ensure timely resolution.

Use Data to Drive Better Outcomes

- Ensure accurate maintenance of learner records and program data.
- Monitor key centre-level metrics and outcomes.
- Submit timely and accurate reports.
- Ensure effective use of Lighthouse technology platforms and MIS systems.
- Use data and field insights to identify challenges and improve performance.

Data isn't just reporting — it's a way to understand what's happening at the centre.

Build the Ecosystem Around the Centre

A strong Lighthouse Centre is connected to its community.

You will build and nurture relationships with:

- Community leaders.
- Government departments.
- NGOs and community organisations.
- Corporates and CSR partners.
- Local employers.
- Skilling and training partners.
- Volunteers and other ecosystem stakeholders.

You will represent Lighthouse at community meetings, stakeholder engagements, local events, and partnership forums.

Your ability to build trust and create meaningful collaborations will directly influence the reach and impact of the centre.

Who Are We Looking For?Education

- Master's degree preferred.
- MSW or a relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.

Experience

- 4–8 years of experience in program implementation, skilling, livelihoods, education, youth development, or the social sector.
- Experience managing a training centre, community program, or similar operations is preferred.

- Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams.

Leadership & Professional Skills

You should bring:

- Strong people management and leadership skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent planning and organisational abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- A proactive, solution-oriented, and results-focused mindset.

Language Skills

- Telugu, Hindi, and English — strong communication skills required.

Digital Skills

You should be comfortable using:

- MS Word
- MS Excel
- MS PowerPoint
- Microsoft Teams
- Outlook
- Google Workspace
- Zoom / Google Meet and other virtual collaboration platforms

You'll Thrive in This Role If...

You are someone who:

- Takes ownership rather than waiting for instructions.
- Can lead with empathy while holding people accountable.
- Enjoys being close to the ground and understanding what is really happening.
- Can move comfortably between a team conversation, a government meeting, an employer discussion, and a centre review.
- Builds relationships based on trust and credibility.
- Can turn a challenge into a plan of action.
- Is comfortable making decisions and taking responsibility for the outcome.
- Believes that strong teams create strong programs.
- Sees data as a tool for learning, not just reporting.
- Wants to build something that has a visible impact on people's lives.

Why Join Lighthouse?

Own a Centre. Shape Futures.

As Centre Head, you won't be managing a program from a distance.

You'll see the impact up close.

You'll see a learner walk into the centre uncertain about their future.

You'll see a team member help them discover a possibility.

You'll see a trainer build a skill.

You'll see an employer open a door.

And you'll help bring all of those pieces together.

This role gives you the opportunity to build your leadership experience while working at the intersection of youth development, employability, skilling, community engagement, partnerships, and social impact.

You'll lead people, build ecosystems, solve real-world problems, and create outcomes that extend well beyond the walls of the centre.

Ready to Lead a Centre That Creates Opportunity?

If you are a people leader, a community builder, and an execution-focused qualified who wants to create meaningful opportunities for underserved youth, we'd love to hear from you.
