Hazargo is looking for a responsible and technically competent Shift In-Charge to supervise shift-wise operations at its hazardous-waste recycling, pre-processing, TSDF and incineration facility.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervise hazardous-waste receipt, unloading, segregation, storage, pre-processing, recycling, incineration, ETP and material-handling activities during the assigned shift.

* Ensure that only approved and laboratory-cleared waste is unloaded, mixed, processed or fed into the incinerator.

* Execute the shift-production plan and achieve processing targets safely and efficiently.

* Monitor incinerator temperatures, feed rates, fuel consumption, draft, pressure and pollution-control-system parameters.

* Coordinate with the laboratory for waste characterisation, compatibility testing and preparation of protected incinerator-feed mixtures.

* Prevent the mixing or handling of incompatible waste.

* Supervise operators, technicians, helpers, contract workers and equipment operators during the shift.

* Allocate manpower and machinery according to operational priorities.

* Ensure adherence to SOPs, work permits, PPE requirements and safe operating procedures.

* Conduct pre-startup checks of equipment, tanks, pumps, pipelines, safety systems and pollution-control systems.

* Coordinate with mechanical, electrical and instrumentation teams during breakdowns.

* Minimise plant downtime and immediately escalate critical operational or safety issues.

* Monitor waste inventory, fuel, chemicals, consumables and intermediate storage levels.

* Maintain shift logs covering waste processed, operating parameters, consumption, downtime, breakdowns and pending work.

* Ensure proper waste identification, labelling, storage and traceability.





* Monitor housekeeping, spill control, fire safety and safe movement of hazardous materials.

* Respond promptly to fires, spills, leaks, abnormal reactions, equipment failures and other emergencies.

* Report incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions and process deviations to the Plant Manager and EHS team.

* Conduct proper shift handover, including plant status, pending jobs, waste inventory and safety concerns.

* Support regulatory inspections, internal audits and compliance-related documentation.

Candidate Requirements:

* Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, Industrial or a related engineering discipline.

* 4–7 years of experience in hazardous-waste management, TSDF, incineration, recycling, chemical processing, ETP or a similar process industry.

* Previous experience supervising plant operators and shift workers.

* Knowledge of hazardous-waste handling, chemical compatibility, incinerator operations and pollution-control systems.

* Understanding of work permits, lockout/tagout, confined-space procedures, PPE and emergency-response requirements.

* Ability to identify abnormal plant conditions and take timely corrective action.

* Strong manpower-management, troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills.

* Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and preparation of shift reports.

* Willingness to work rotational shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Preferred Candidate:

A safety-conscious and hands-on shift supervisor who can manage plant operations independently, maintain discipline on the shop floor and achieve shift targets without compromising environmental or safety standards.

Pay: ₹10,126.41 - ₹35,000.00 per month
