Key Roles & Responsibilities – Warranty In-Charge | Ashok Leyland Authorised Service Centre

1. Warranty Claim Management

- Handle end-to-end warranty claim processing as per Ashok Leyland guidelines.
- Verify warranty eligibility based on vehicle history, warranty terms, and failure details.
- Ensure claims are submitted accurately and within the required timeline.

2. Warranty Inspection & Diagnosis

- Inspect warranty-related vehicle complaints and identify the cause of failure.
- Verify defective parts and supporting technical details.
- Coordinate with technicians for proper diagnosis and repair.

3. Warranty Documentation

- Prepare and maintain warranty job cards, claim forms, photographs, and supporting documents.
- Ensure correct recording of parts, labour, failure codes, and repair details.
- Maintain proper warranty records for audit purposes.

4. Claim Follow-up & Coordination

- Follow up on claim approvals, rejections, and pending cases.
- Coordinate with Ashok Leyland warranty and regional teams.




- Resolve claim-related queries and provide required clarifications.

5. Parts & Defective Component Management

- Ensure warranty parts are properly identified, tagged, and stored.
- Maintain records of replaced warranty parts.
- Follow manufacturer guidelines for defective part retention and return.

6. Reporting & Compliance

- Monitor warranty claim status, rejection cases, and pending claims.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warranty reports.
- Ensure compliance with Ashok Leyland warranty policies, processes, and audit requirements.
