Job Description – Bag Making Operator

Duty Hours: 12 Hours per Shift

Job Purpose

To operate bag-making machines efficiently and produce bioplastic/compostable bags as per required size, thickness, quality and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor bag-making machines for bioplastic and compostable bags.
- Set machine parameters according to product specifications.
- Ensure proper cutting, sealing, perforation and bag dimensions.
- Monitor film quality, thickness and machine performance during production.
- Maintain required production speed and achieve daily production targets.
- Check finished bags for size, sealing, cutting and other quality parameters.
- Minimize material wastage, rejection and production losses.
- Perform machine changeovers and basic machine adjustments.
- Identify machine problems and immediately report breakdowns to the Supervisor/Maintenance Team.
- Maintain daily production, wastage and rejection records.




- Coordinate with the Quality and Production teams to maintain product quality.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and workplace housekeeping as per 5S standards.
- Follow all company safety rules, SOPs and production instructions.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Production Supervisor or Management.

Required Skills & Experience

- Experience in bag-making machine operation is preferred.
- Experience in bioplastic, compostable bags, plastic bags or flexible packaging will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of sealing, cutting, perforation and machine settings.
- Ability to identify quality issues and machine abnormalities.
- Positive discipline, attendance and teamwork.
- Ability to work in a 12-hour shift as per production requirements.

Qualification

- 10th / 12th Pass preferred.
- Relevant machine operating experience will be considered.

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
