Key Responsibilities
- Safety and Environmental Monitoring: Oversee health, safety, and environment (HSE) protocols, manage waste disposal, and prevent spills or pollution.
- Regulatory Adherence: Work with bodies like the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) and environmental protection agencies to review permits and licenses.
- Risk Assessments and Audits: Run regular internal checks, inspect facilities (such as refineries or rigs), and test company procedures to catch issues early.
- Training and Reporting: Educate staff on legal duties and report safety or compliance data to senior leaders and regulatory groups.
