About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Accountant Executive for our alcohol manufacturing and distillery business. The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day Accounts, Banking, Taxation, Reconciliation, Excise-related accounting and basic Finance activities.

Tally Prime is mandatory.

The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of complete accounting and preferably experience in alcohol, liquor, distillery, manufacturing or another regulated industry.

This is not a data-entry or billing-only position. The candidate should be capable of independently handling accounting activities from daily transactions through reconciliation, month-end closing, statutory compliance and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts

- Handle day-to-day accounting in Tally Prime.
- Pass journal, purchase, sales, receipt, payment, debit note, credit note and contra entries.
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable (AP/AR).
- Maintain and scrutinise ledgers.
- Handle vendor and customer reconciliation.
- Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
- Manage invoices, expenses, bills, payments and collections.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
- Prepare Trial Balance, P&L; and Balance Sheet.
- Handle provisions, accruals, prepaid expenses and depreciation.

GST, TDS, VAT & Excise

- Handle applicable GST accounting and compliance.
- Understand Input Tax Credit (ITC) and GST reconciliation.
- Handle TDS deduction, payment and reconciliation.
- Good practical knowledge of VAT / Sales Tax applicable to alcoholic liquor.
- Understand State Excise duties and excise-related accounting.
- Understand the accounting treatment of excise duty, VAT, manufacturing costs and liquor movement, as applicable.
- Maintain statutory records, returns, challans and supporting documents.




- Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors and statutory authorities when required.

Banking & Finance

- Handle NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, cheques and other banking transactions.
- Coordinate with banks for payments, statements and documentation.
- Assist with OD/CC, working capital, loans and other banking facilities.
- Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables and fund requirements.
- Prepare basic MIS and financial reports for management.
- Support management in accounting, banking and finance-related activities.

Candidate Requirements

- 2–5 years of practical Accounts/Finance experience.
- Tally Prime is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of complete accounting.
- Valuable knowledge of GST, TDS, VAT/Sales Tax, Excise, BRS, AP/AR and financial statements.
- Practical knowledge of banking operations.
- Experience in manufacturing / alcohol / liquor / distillery / FMCG or regulated industries will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Understanding of cash flow, provisions, accruals, depreciation and month-end closing.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with management, banks, auditors and consultants.
- Strong accuracy, follow-up and organisational skills.

Important

Candidates with only Tally data-entry, billing, cashier or back-office experience will not be suitable.

We are looking for an Accountant Executive who can independently handle accounting and banking activities and has an understanding of the additional tax, VAT and excise requirements applicable to the alcohol industry.
