Job Description

We are looking for a responsible, active and customer-friendly Medical Shop Assistant to join our team.

The candidate should be able to handle day-to-day medical shop activities efficiently and should also be interested in basic computer work and social media management.

Key Responsibilities

Medical Shop Operations

- Attend customers politely and understand their requirements.
- Assist in dispensing medicines as per valid prescriptions and under the supervision of the pharmacist.
- Arrange medicines properly and maintain shelves.
- Check stock, expiry dates and medicine availability.
- Receive and arrange incoming stock.
- Assist with billing and maintain basic shop records.
- Keep the medical shop clean and well organised.
- Handle customer enquiries regarding medicine availability and prices.
- Assist with WhatsApp orders and customer communication.
- Coordinate local home-delivery orders when required.

Social Media & Digital Work

- Manage the shop's Instagram and Facebook accounts.
- Post regular health-related content, medicine awareness posts, offers and shop updates.
- Create simple posts/reels using Canva or similar apps.
- Take basic photos/videos of the shop and products for social media.
- Reply to basic social media messages and enquiries.
- Help increase the shop's local online presence and customer engagement.
- Maintain WhatsApp communication with customers.
- Support online promotional activities and local digital marketing.

Other Responsibilities





- Be proactive and productive during working hours.
- Maintain good relationships with regular customers.
- Help identify opportunities to improve sales and customer service.
- Complete assigned daily tasks on time.
- Follow proper pharmacy practices and company instructions.
- Maintain professional behaviour and punctuality.

Candidate Requirements

- Previous experience in a medical shop/pharmacy/retail store is preferred.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Basic knowledge of medicines and medical shop operations is preferred.
- Basic computer/smartphone knowledge.
- Should be comfortable using WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook.
- Basic knowledge of Canva or willingness to learn is an advantage.
- Should be active, responsible and willing to learn.
- Should have a positive attitude and take initiative rather than waiting for instructions.
- D.Pharm/B.Pharm qualification is not mandatory for this position; practical medical-shop experience and ability to handle responsibilities are important.
