Position: Senior Design Engineer – SPM

Experience Required

- 3–6 years of relevant experience in SPM / Automation Machine Design.
- Solid hands-on experience in Fixture Design and Cavity Design is mandatory.
- Only experienced candidates will be considered. Freshers are not eligible.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPM) based on customer requirements.
- Design fixtures, jigs, cavities, tooling, and automation components.
- Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for SPM and automation projects.
- Develop fixture concepts based on component geometry, machining requirements, and production processes.
- Design and modify cavities, locating systems, clamping systems, guide mechanisms, and tooling.
- Select suitable mechanical components, bearings, cylinders, sensors, linear guides, and other standard components.
- Ensure proper fitment, functionality, accuracy, and manufacturability of designed components.
- Review designs and identify potential design, assembly, and manufacturing issues.
- Coordinate with the Production, Machining, Assembly, Electrical, PLC, and Project teams.
- Support the manufacturing and assembly teams during fabrication and machine assembly.
- Make design modifications based on trial results and customer requirements.
- Prepare BOM,



fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and detailed component drawings.
- Ensure designs meet required quality, safety, dimensional accuracy, and project timelines.
- Participate in machine trials, troubleshooting, and design improvements.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of SPM Design and Industrial Automation.
- Excellent knowledge of Fixture & Cavity Design.
- Good knowledge of Jigs, Tooling, Clamping, Locating, and Workholding concepts.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks / AutoCAD or equivalent 3D CAD software.
- Ability to understand and create 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models.
- Knowledge of GD&T;, tolerances, fits, and basic engineering calculations.
- Knowledge of machine components and standard mechanical elements.
- Ability to independently handle design projects from concept to manufacturing.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Candidate Requirements

- Only experienced candidates.
- Freshers are NOT eligible.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant SPM Design experience preferred.
- Candidates with strong experience in Fixture, Cavity, Jig, Tooling, and SPM Design will be given priority.
- Should be capable of handling projects independently.
