We are looking for a Junior Estimator to join our Estimation Team and contribute to accurate, timely, and competitive project estimates.

The ideal candidate will have 1–6 years of experience in construction or flooring estimation, with strong knowledge of quantity take-offs, construction drawings, project specifications, material pricing, and bid preparation.

Job Overview

As a Junior Estimator, you will be responsible for reviewing project documents, performing detailed quantity take-offs, preparing estimates and bids, coordinating material pricing, handling RFIs, and supporting the estimation team throughout the bidding process.

You will work closely with Senior Estimators, Project Managers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are accurately understood and reflected in estimates.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Review & Analysis

- Review architectural drawings, floor plans, specifications, scope documents, and project requirements.
- Analyze project documents and identify the complete scope of work.
- Identify material requirements, installation conditions, and project-specific requirements.
- Review project timelines, client expectations, and bid submission requirements.
- Identify discrepancies, missing information, and potential project risks.

2. Quantity Take-Off & Estimation

- Perform accurate and detailed quantity take-offs using Measure Square Estimation Software.
- Calculate material quantities based on drawings and specifications.
- Apply appropriate waste factors and account for installation requirements.
- Assist in calculating labor and other project cost components.
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates.
- Review completed estimates for accuracy before submission.

3. RFI Preparation & Documentation

- Review project documents to identify discrepancies, conflicts, or missing information.
- Prepare clear and professional Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and other relevant parties to obtain clarification.
- Track RFI responses and incorporate relevant clarifications into estimates.




- Maintain accurate project documentation and communication records.

4. Pricing & Vendor Coordination

- Obtain material pricing from vendors, manufacturers, and subcontractors.
- Collect and compare supplier quotations.
- Verify pricing, product specifications, quantities, and availability.
- Assist in obtaining competitive pricing where required.
- Maintain updated pricing information and vendor records.
- Build professional working relationships with suppliers and project stakeholders.

5. Bid & Proposal Preparation

- Prepare clear, accurate, and professional bid proposals.
- Enter project and product information into Measure Square CRM / Bidding & Project Management Software.
- Assist with costing, bidding, and project tracking.
- Ensure bids meet client requirements and submission formats.
- Ensure all bids are completed and submitted within deadlines.
- Review bid documents before final submission to minimize errors and omissions.

6. Coordination with Project Managers & Estimation Team

- Coordinate with Project Managers and Senior Estimators during bidding and project execution stages.
- Communicate scope changes, project clarifications, and potential risks.
- Support the team in resolving estimation-related issues.
- Provide relevant technical and costing information for project planning and decision-making.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams.

7. Email Communication & Follow-Up

- Maintain professional and timely email communication with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Follow up on quotations, RFIs, bid submissions, clarifications, and project updates.
- Maintain accurate records of project-related correspondence.
- Ensure important project information is properly documented and communicated.

Required Qualifications

- 1–6 years of relevant experience in construction estimation, flooring estimation, quantity surveying, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Experience reading and interpreting architectural drawings, floor plans, specifications, and construction documents.




- Practical experience in quantity take-offs and preparing project estimates.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
