Knowledge
Strong understanding of various fire fighting systems:
- Fire Hydrant & Hose Reel Systems
- Fire Sprinkler Systems
- Fire Alarm & Detection Systems
- Foam & Gas Suppression Systems
- Portable Fire Extinguishers
- Familiarity with fire safety standards such as NFPA, IS codes, and local civil defense regulations.
- Knowledge of fire classifications and appropriate extinguishing techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret fire system drawings and schematic diagrams.
- Understanding of fire pump room layout, equipment, and operation.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair fire protection systems including sprinklers, fire alarms, extinguishers, and hydrants.
- Conduct routine testing and commissioning of fire fighting equipment.
- Perform regular safety inspections of fire safety systems in residential, commercial, and industrial facilities.
- Identify risks and hazards, and recommend fire safety improvements where necessary.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with local fire safety regulations and industry standards.
- Provide client training on proper fire safety equipment use and emergency response.
