Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Laundry Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel laundry department. The position is responsible for ensuring the efficient processing, cleaning, finishing, storage, and timely delivery of hotel linen, uniforms, guest laundry, and other textile items while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise the daily operations of the hotel laundry and ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Allocate duties and supervise Laundry Attendants, Washers, Pressers, Dry Cleaners, and other laundry staff.
- Ensure proper washing, drying, ironing, pressing, folding, and finishing of all hotel linen and garments.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of linen, uniforms, and guest laundry.
- Ensure guest laundry and staff uniforms are processed and delivered within the required turnaround time.
- Inspect washed and finished linen and garments to ensure they meet hotel quality standards.
- Monitor the correct use of washing machines, dryers, ironing equipment, pressing machines, and other laundry equipment.
- Ensure proper segregation of linen and garments according to fabric type, colour, washing requirements, and level of soiling.
- Monitor the appropriate use and storage of laundry chemicals, detergents, and cleaning products.
- Maintain adequate stock levels of linen, uniforms, chemicals, and other laundry supplies and report shortages to the concerned department.
- Maintain proper records of laundry production, linen movement, damaged items, rewash,



and rejected linen.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, Kitchen, and other departments to ensure timely availability of clean linen and uniforms.
- Conduct regular inspections of linen rooms, laundry areas, equipment, and storage facilities.
- Ensure proper handling and documentation of damaged, stained, or condemned linen.
- Assist in maintaining linen inventories and participate in periodic linen counts.
- Train and guide team members on laundry procedures, equipment handling, chemical usage, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs, health and safety standards, and environmental practices.
- Report equipment breakdowns and maintenance requirements to the Engineering Department and follow up for timely resolution.
- Ensure energy, water, chemicals, and other resources are used efficiently to control operational costs.
- Handle guest laundry concerns and complaints professionally and ensure timely resolution.
- Support the Executive Housekeeper/Laundry Manager in maintaining departmental standards and achieving operational targets.

Candidate Profile

- Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management or a relevant qualification is preferred.




- 2–4 years of relevant experience in hotel laundry operations.
- Previous experience in a 4-star/5-star or luxury hotel is preferred.
- Good knowledge of commercial laundry operations, washing processes, stain removal, pressing, dry cleaning, and linen care.
- Good knowledge of laundry chemicals and their appropriate usage.
- Strong supervisory and team-management skills.
- Positive understanding of hotel linen and uniform management.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Experience

2–4 years of relevant experience in hotel laundry operations, preferably with a reputed 4-star, 5-star, or luxury hotel.

Pay: ₹35,778.55 - ₹38,893.76 per month
