- Attend to patients in the ward, emergency, and other assigned areas.
- Conduct initial patient assessment and document clinical findings.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall clinical condition.
- Take patient history and perform basic physical examinations.
- Provide immediate medical care during emergencies.
- Review and follow up on investigation reports.
- Initiate treatment as per hospital protocols and consultant instructions.
- Administer and prescribe medications within the scope of responsibility.
- Monitor patients’ response to treatment and report changes promptly.
- Assist consultants during rounds and procedures.
- Coordinate with nursing staff and other departments for patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and case sheets.
- Prepare discharge summaries and other required clinical documentation.




- Communicate patient condition and treatment plans to patients and relatives appropriately.
- Ensure proper handover of patients between shifts.
- Identify and escalate critical patients to the concerned consultant.
- Follow hospital policies, clinical protocols, infection-control practices, and safety standards.
- Participate in code blue/emergency response and resuscitation when required.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Ensure continuity and quality of patient care throughout the duty shift.

MBBS
