Job Summary

The Home Sample Collection Technician is responsible for visiting patients' homes and collecting blood and other laboratory samples safely, accurately, and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

- Visit patients' homes as per the assigned schedule.
- Verify patient name, ID, age, and test details before sample collection.
- Collect blood, urine, and other required samples following proper procedures.
- Follow infection control, hygiene, and safety guidelines.
- Use proper sample collection tubes, labels, and equipment.
- Properly label, pack, and transport samples to the laboratory.
- Maintain sample integrity during transportation.
- Handle patients politely and provide basic instructions before and after collection.
- Maintain proper records of collected and submitted samples.
- Report any sample collection difficulties or abnormalities to the Lab In-charge.
- Ensure proper disposal of used needles, gloves, and other biomedical waste.




- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and test reports.
- Coordinate with reception/telecalling staff regarding appointments and sample collection.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of collection equipment.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of blood/sample collection procedures.
- Good patient-handling and communication skills.
- Knowledge of infection control and biomedical waste disposal.
- Ability to travel for home visits.
- Good time management and punctuality.
- Ability to maintain accurate records.

Qualification

DMLT / B.Sc. MLT / Relevant Laboratory Qualification

Experience

0–2 years of relevant experience preferred. Freshers with suitable qualification may also be considered.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
