About the Role

AEOS is looking for a talented 2D Animator / Motion Graphics Artist to join our creative team.

You will work on a variety of visual projects, bringing illustrations, characters, graphics, and ideas to life through animation and motion design. We're looking for someone with strong visual instincts who can take a concept from a rough idea or storyboard through to a polished final animation.

This is a hands-on creative role suited to someone who enjoys both animation and visual design and wants to work on distinctive, high-quality content.

Responsibilities

- Create 2D animations, motion graphics, character animations, and animated illustrations.
- Translate storyboards, concepts, scripts, and creative direction into engaging animated sequences.
- Design and animate graphics for videos, social media, presentations, campaigns, and other digital content.
- Create smooth and expressive character/object animation with robust timing and posing.
- Work with composition, typography, transitions, effects, and visual storytelling.
- Collaborate with directors, designers, illustrators, and other members of the creative team.
- Take ownership of animation projects from initial concept through final delivery.
- Prepare and organize animation assets and project files for efficient production.
- Maintain consistency in visual style, quality, and technical execution across projects.




- Experiment with new animation techniques, workflows, and AI-assisted creative tools where appropriate.

Requirements

- Strong understanding of 2D animation principles, including timing, spacing, anticipation, squash & stretch, weight, and acting.
- Strong visual sense and understanding of composition, colour, typography, and movement.
- Proficiency in one or more relevant tools such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Animate, Photoshop, Illustrator, Toon Boom Harmony, Blender, or similar software.
- Ability to work from storyboards and creative briefs, as well as develop animation solutions independently.
- Good understanding of motion graphics and visual storytelling.
- A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating your animation and motion design skills.
- Ability to work within deadlines and iterate based on creative feedback.

Nice to Have

- Character animation experience.
- Experience with frame-by-frame / traditional 2D animation.
- Experience with compositing and visual effects.
- Basic understanding of 3D animation or Blender.
- Experience creating content for film, advertising, games, music videos, or digital media.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted animation and creative workflows.
- Illustration or concept art skills.
- Strong storytelling and cinematography instincts.
