About the Role

SDBI is looking for a full time Assistant Professor – Computer Engineering to join its academic team at the PAHSU campus in Solapur.

The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate engineering courses, conducting laboratory sessions, mentoring students, guiding projects and contributing to the academic development of the programme.

Qualification (As per applicable UGC / AICTE norms)

- B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology or a relevant branch, with First Class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.
- Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is preferred.
- NET/SET qualification is preferred.

Experience

- As per UGC / AICTE norms.
- 5 to 8 years of teaching experience
- Fresh Ph.D. candidates may apply.
- Relevant industry experience in the technology domain will be an added advantage.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in CSE.
- Preparing lesson plans, course materials, and assessments.
- Conducting lectures, labs, seminars, and project guidance.




- Mentoring students for internships, placements, and research.
- Publishing research papers in reputed journals (Scopus/UGC Care).
- Applying for research grants and consultancy projects.
- Participating in NAAC/NBA accreditation work.
- Contributing to curriculum development as per NEP guidelines.
- Performing administrative and academic duties assigned by the Head of Department.

Key Competencies

- Strong subject knowledge in core CSE subjects.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Research aptitude and publication record (for senior roles).
- Ability to use modern teaching tools and LMS platforms.
- Teamwork and leadership qualities.

Knowledge or teaching capability in emerging areas such as Data Science, Generative AI, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, IoT and Full-Stack Development will be an advantage.

Industry Engagement

- Bring industry practices and real-world applications into classroom teaching.
- Support industry interaction, guest lectures, workshops and technical events.
- Facilitate industry projects, internships and other experiential learning opportunities.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
