Role Overview
We are seeking a driven, commercially savvy Marketing & Business Development Manager to spearhead client acquisition and drive studio bookings across London’s thriving music ecosystem. In this role, you will be the front-facing engine of the studio—scouting independent talent, pitching established artists, and forging partnerships with managers, indie labels, and corporate audio/visual clients.
Key Responsibilities

- Client Acquisition & Studio Sales
- Proactively source and sign clients for core studio offerings: recording sessions, mixing, mastering, and video production.
- Build a robust sales pipeline by networking across London’s live music circuits, rehearsal spaces, music colleges, and creative agencies.
- Prepare customized proposals, pitch decks, and commercial quotes tailored to artist and label budgets.
- Marketing & Brand Visibility
- Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube to showcase our studio work, client testimonials, and production quality.
- Oversee content creation highlighting our engineering team, studio gear,



behind-the-scenes video shoots, and before/after mix breakdowns.
- Manage local SEO, Google Business profile, and targeted ad campaigns to capture local search demand in London.
- Industry Networking & Partnerships
- Establish strategic relationships with artist management companies, independent record labels, sync licensing agents, and content creators.
- Represent Maa Records at London music events, showcases, conferences, and open-mic nights.
- Develop introductory offers, studio lock-out packages, and loyalty deals to drive repeat bookings.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience: 2+ years of proven success in business development, sales, or music marketing within a recording studio, creative agency, or label environment.
- Music Industry Literacy: Solid grasp of audio-visual production terminology—you must comfortably speak the language of tracking, stems, mixing, mastering (LUFS, Dolby Atmos/stereo), and video production workflows.
- Network: Existing contacts within the UK/London music scene (artists, producers, managers, videographers).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal, pitch, and written presentation skills.
- Commercially Minded: Goal-oriented with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
