Job Description

The Site Engineer - Formwork is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing all formwork activities for civil and structural works in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and construction schedules. The role involves managing the installation, inspection, and dismantling of various formwork systems, including conventional formwork, modular formwork, aluminum formwork, table forms, climbing forms, and specialized shuttering systems used in building and infrastructure projects. The engineer shall review structural drawings, formwork designs, method statements, and construction sequences to ensure protected and efficient execution of works.

Key responsibilities include coordinating with construction teams, subcontractors, surveyors, QA/QC personnel, and safety departments to ensure proper alignment, dimensions, levels, tolerances, and structural stability of formwork systems before concrete placement. The engineer shall monitor site progress, manage manpower and material resources, conduct inspections, verify compliance with approved formwork drawings,



and ensure adherence to project specifications and quality requirements. Additional duties include coordinating reinforcement and concrete teams, ensuring timely availability of formwork materials, monitoring cycle times, optimizing productivity, and supporting project schedules.

The Site Engineer shall ensure compliance with HSE regulations, conduct risk assessments related to formwork installation and dismantling activities, and verify that all work is performed in accordance with approved lifting plans and safety procedures. Responsibilities also include preparing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, maintaining formwork inventory records, managing material consumption, resolving technical and construction-related issues, and supporting project handover documentation.

Experience in Data Centre, Commercial Buildings, High-Rise Structures, Industrial Facilities, Infrastructure, or Large-Scale Civil Construction Projects is preferred. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of formwork systems, concrete construction practices, structural drawings, construction sequencing, temporary works, and applicable safety standards. A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering with 3+ years of relevant site construction experience is required. Strong technical, planning, coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for achieving safe, high-quality, and timely project execution. Project is HYD123&124.
