A steward maintains the cleanliness, sanitation, and operational efficiency of food and beverage establishments. They work behind the scenes in kitchens or directly in dining areas to support servers and chefs.

Job Summary

The primary role of a steward is to ensure all kitchen and dining spaces meet strict hygiene and safety standards. This position requires high physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in quick-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

Kitchen & Sanitation Operations

· Wash dishes, glassware, silverware, and pots using commercial dishwashers or hand-wash stations.

· Sanitise work areas, floors, walls, and kitchen equipment like ovens and refrigerators.

· Empty trash cans, operate waste compactors, and maintain clean dumpster areas.

· Store clean wares neatly in designated storage spaces to prevent breakage.

· Handle chemical cleaners safely by following established safety guidelines.

Dining & Event Support

· Set up tables with clean tablecloths, napkins,



silverware, and decorations.

· Clear dirty dishes and debris from tables after guests depart.

· Stock service stations with necessary condiments, ice, and clean utensils.

· Assist waitstaff with food plating and event setup during peak service hours.

Job Requirements

· Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

· Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended shifts.

· Strength: Ability to lift and move heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

· Flexibility: Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Skills

· Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with kitchen and floor staff.

· Speed: Moving and cleaning quickly without sacrificing safety or quality.

· Organization: Keeping workstations structured during busy hours.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
