JOB DESCRIPTION – SERVICE ENGINEER

Position: Service Engineer
Department: Marine Automation, Electrical & Controls
Company: SMEC Automation Pvt. Ltd.

Key Responsibilities

- Installation, commissioning, testing, and servicing of marine automation, electrical, and control systems.
- Troubleshooting, fault finding, and carrying out corrective actions on board vessels and in shipyards.
- Providing customer support and technical assistance.
- Preparing technical documentation and service reports.
- Coordinating with project teams, OEMs, and clients.
- Supporting vessel and offshore service requirements.
- Willingness to travel for site service and vessel support.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field.

Experience

- 2–5 years of relevant experience in:
- Marine automation
- Electrical systems
- Control systems
- Shipbuilding / ship repair
- Offshore projects
- Freshers may also apply and may be considered for training programmes with employment opportunities,



based on selection.

Required Skills

- Valuable troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of marine automation, electrical, and control systems.
- Good communication and technical reporting skills.
- Ability to work effectively with project teams, clients, and OEMs.
- Willingness to travel and work at vessel/yard sites.
- Strong teamwork and a proactive attitude.

Pay: ₹8,829.99 - ₹33,535.66 per month
