Legal Head – Real Estate

Industry: Real Estate / Property Development
Experience: Ideally 12–18+ years in real estate legal functions
Qualification: LLB mandatory | LLM preferred

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the entire legal function of the organization.
- Manage and mentor the legal team.
- Handle land acquisition and legal due diligence, including title verification, ownership, encumbrances and litigation.
- Review and negotiate real estate and commercial agreements.
- Handle JDA, Sale Agreements, Development Agreements, POA, Lease, Construction & Vendor Agreements.
- Lead litigation and dispute resolution across civil, consumer, criminal, labour and regulatory matters.
- Ensure compliance with RERA, Registration Act, Transfer of Property Act, Companies Act, Contract Act and applicable land laws.
- Liaise with government authorities,



registration departments, advocates and external legal consultants.
- Provide legal support for real estate projects from acquisition through approvals, launch and handover.
- Advise senior management on legal risks, regulatory matters and strategic decisions.
- Establish legal governance, processes and risk-mitigation frameworks.
