A Design Manager in the garment industry oversees the entire creative and technical process of turning fashion concepts into production-ready clothing collections.

Key Responsibilities

- Team Leadership: Guide and motivate internal teams of fashion designers, CAD artists, and pattern makers.
- Collection Planning: Oversee seasonal design calendars, line sheets, and product development from concept to final sample.
- Trend & Market Research: Analyze runway shows, retail markets, and consumer data to forecast color palettes, prints, and silhouettes.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner closely with merchandising, sourcing, legal, and manufacturing departments to ensure commercial viability and brand alignment.
- Technical Supervision: Review tech packs, fabric choices, and prototype fits to ensure garments meet quality standards and cost targets.





Required Skills and Qualifications

- Experience: 5 to 10+ years in apparel design, with prior leadership or studio management experience.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of textile properties, fabric sourcing, and garment construction methods.
- Software Proficiency: Expert command of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and familiarity with digital design or CAD tools.
- Project Management: Robust organizational abilities to handle tight deadlines, budgeting, and workflow timelines across multiple collections.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
