We are looking for an experienced Metrology Expert to manage measurement systems, calibration activities, dimensional inspection, and measurement accuracy across manufacturing and quality operations. The role will ensure that measuring instruments and equipment are accurate, reliable, traceable, and compliant with applicable quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the metrology and calibration program for measuring instruments and equipment.
- Plan and execute calibration, verification, and validation of measuring instruments.
- Maintain calibration records, certificates, history, and equipment databases.
- Ensure traceability of measurements to national/international standards.
- Perform dimensional measurement and inspection of components, tools, fixtures, and production equipment.
- Handle instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Dial Gauges, Gauges, Pressure Gauges, Temperature Instruments, Weighing Scales and other measuring equipment.
- Support Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Gauge R&R;, accuracy and repeatability studies.
- Identify measurement errors and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate with Quality, Production, Maintenance, R&D; and Engineering teams for measurement-related issues.
- Evaluate and approve external calibration agencies and laboratories.
- Ensure calibration activities are completed within defined schedules.




- Support internal, customer and external audits related to calibration and measurement systems.
- Maintain compliance with applicable ISO/IATF/quality-system requirements, wherever applicable.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions and metrology procedures.
- Analyze measurement data and prepare periodic MIS/reports.
- Provide technical guidance and training to technicians and quality personnel on measurement practices.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of Metrology and Calibration Systems.
- Knowledge of MSA, Gauge R&R;, uncertainty of measurement and measurement traceability.
- Knowledge of dimensional measurement techniques.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments.
- Understanding of ISO 17025 calibration requirements.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and specifications.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and documentation/MIS.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Instrumentation or related discipline.

Certification in Metrology/Calibration/Quality will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
