Key ResponsibilitiesA. Sample Collection & Handling
- Receive and verify clinical specimens such as blood, urine, sputum, swabs, body fluids, stool, and other samples.
- Check specimen identification, labeling, quantity, quality, and transport conditions.
- Reject or escalate unsuitable specimens according to laboratory procedures.
- Ensure proper storage and timely processing of specimens.
B. Microbiology Testing
- Perform routine microbiological investigations as authorized by the laboratory.
- Prepare and examine Gram stains and other relevant stains.
- Perform culture and sensitivity testing using appropriate media and techniques.
- Prepare culture media, reagents, stains, and solutions as per SOPs.
- Perform microscopic examination of specimens.
- Conduct basic biochemical and identification tests for microorganisms.
C. Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing
- Perform antimicrobial susceptibility testing according to approved laboratory procedures.
- Ensure correct preparation of inoculum, media, antibiotic discs/cards, and controls.
- Identify and promptly escalate unusual, resistant, or critical findings to the Microbiologist.
D. Quality Control
- Perform daily and periodic quality-control procedures as instructed.
- Operate microbiology laboratory equipment safely and correctly.
- Assist in automated microbiology testing and identification systems where applicable.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
