The Senior Interior CAD Designer / Drafting Lead bridges spatial design and technical execution. This role leads the production of detailed architectural construction documentation, joinery/millwork shop drawings, and MEP coordination sets for interior projects. The Lead oversees drafting workflows, enforces firm-wide CAD/BIM standards, and manages junior draftspersons to ensure accurate, buildable, and compliant drawing packages.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Documentation & Production

* Produce and oversee full interior execution sets, including demolition plans, partitions, reflected ceiling plans (RCP), flooring layouts, electrical/lighting schedules, and elevation views.

* Develop detailed millwork, joinery, and custom fabrication shop drawings with precise material specifications, dimensions, and hardware callouts.

* Coordinate interior layouts with architectural, structural, MEP, and HVAC drawings to identify and resolve clashes prior to site execution.

2. Drafting Leadership & Quality Control

* Review all drawing packages for accuracy, technical feasibility, code compliance, and adherence to company drafting standards before issuance.

* Manage the project drafting schedule, delegate drawing tasks, and ensure timely submittals for tender, approval, and site construction phases.

* Establish, maintain, and update internal CAD/BIM block libraries, layer standards, and drawing templates.

Project & Site Coordination

* Collaborate directly with Lead Interior Architects, Project Managers, and Procurement Teams to translate concept designs into clear construction documents.

* Perform site verification, field measurements, and as-built surveys when necessary.

* Assist in resolving site RFIs (Requests for Information) and revising drawings based on site condition changes or material variations.

4. Mentorship

* Train, guide, and mentor junior and mid-level CAD technicians in advanced drafting techniques, construction detailing, and workflow efficiency.

Key Qualifications & Skills

* Software Proficiency: Mastery in AutoCAD (2D/3D), Revit (BIM workflow), SketchUp, and MS Office. Familiarity with rendering plugins (Enscape/V-Ray) is a plus.

* Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of interior construction details, joinery manufacturing, building materials, finishing techniques, and local building codes/regulations.

* Experience: 5+ years of hands-on interior drafting experience with a track record of leading technical submittals for commercial, residential, or hospitality projects.

* Core Competencies: High attention to detail, strong spatial reasoning, team leadership, explicit communication, and time management under tight project deadlines.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
