About the Role

Margo Digitech is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate maintenance of financial records and statutory compliances. The candidate will be responsible for bookkeeping, reconciliations, taxation-related activities, payroll statutory compliances, and supporting overall financial operations. The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of internal accounting, GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, bookkeeping, and financial reporting, along with the ability to independently manage routine accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities, including recording and verification of financial transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Manage and maintain general ledger, cash book, bank book, and other accounting records.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including tracking outstanding payments and collections.
- Perform regular bank, ledger, customer, and vendor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and verify invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, debit/credit notes, and other financial documents.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for all accounting and financial transactions.
- Handle GST-related accounting and compliance activities, including reconciliation and preparation of required data.
- Manage TDS-related activities, including calculation, deduction, records, reconciliation, and timely compliance.
- Maintain and support PF and ESIC-related records and compliance requirements.
- Assist with payroll-related accounting, including statutory deductions and employee-related financial records.
- Prepare periodic MIS reports, financial summaries, and accounting statements as required.




- Monitor receivables and payables and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for timely settlements.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Ensure proper filing and maintenance of accounting, tax, and statutory documents.
- Coordinate with banks, vendors, clients, consultants, auditors, and other external stakeholders whenever required.
- Ensure accounting activities are completed accurately and within defined timelines.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, taxation, and statutory requirements.
- Perform any other accounting and finance-related responsibilities assigned by management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; B.Com/M.Com preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
- Robust practical knowledge of bookkeeping and internal accounting processes.
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, and ESIC compliance.
- Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, ledger reconciliation, and financial documentation.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software such as Tally/ERP.
- Robust attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions and reporting.
- Positive analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently manage day-to-day accounting activities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and employee-related information.

Preferred Profile:

- Candidates with hands-on experience in managing complete accounting operations will be preferred.
- Experience in handling GST, TDS, PF, and ESIC independently will be an advantage.
- Candidates who can effectively manage multiple accounting activities and statutory compliance requirements within timelines will be preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
