Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented VMC 2D Operator to operate and monitor Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines for precision machining of components as per engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The candidate will be responsible for machine setup, tool setting, dimensional inspection, and maintaining production quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate VMC (Vertical Machining Center) machines for 2D machining operations.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensional specifications, and tolerances.
- Perform machine setup, fixture setting, tool loading, and work offset setting.
- Load and unload components safely and ensure proper job alignment.
- Identify and resolve basic machining, tooling, and dimensional issues.
- Maintain required production output while ensuring consistent product quality.
- Follow standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and 5S practices.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and complete production and inspection records.




- Coordinate with the Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to achieve daily targets.

Required Technical Skills

- Solid knowledge of VMC operation and 2D milling processes.
- Basic understanding of G-code and M-code.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, tool selection, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
- Proficiency in using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, and other inspection instruments.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Qualification & Experience

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or a related technical field.
- 1–3 years of relevant VMC operating experience preferred.
