brand. Our Umbergaon facility (Unit II) runs modern tube-making operations — melting, casting, extrusion, pilgering,

drawing, annealing, finning and finishing — serving HVAC, medical gas pipeline, plumbing and industrial applications.

We invest in current manufacturing technology and in the people who run it, and we manage our operations on

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

About the Role

You will run the tool room that keeps the plant's tooling ready and precise — dies, mandrels, plugs, pilger tooling,

drawing dies, finning tools and fixtures. Tooling quality directly drives tube dimensions, surface and yield, so this is a

high-impact role. You'll manage tool design/procurement, manufacture, refurbishment, life tracking and inventory,

and lead a skilled tool-room team. A strong fit for a tool-and-die professional who wants ownership of tooling for a

copper-tube operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the tool room — manufacture, refurbishment, maintenance and readiness of all tooling.
- Oversee dies, mandrels, plugs, pilger tooling, drawing dies, finning tools, fixtures and gauges.
- Plan tool availability against the production schedule; prevent tooling-driven downtime.
- Manage tool design, development,



procurement and vendor coordination for new/replacement tooling.
- Track tool life, performance and consumption; drive cost-per-tool and tool-life improvement.
- Lead tool-room machines (lathes, grinders, EDM, milling, CNC as applicable) and their upkeep.
- Supervise and develop tool-room technicians, machinists and die makers.
- Maintain tooling inventory, history and records in Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Support new product / current size development with required tooling.
- Ensure quality, precision, calibration and safety in all tool-room work.

Educational Qualification

B.E. Mechanical / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or Tool & Die Maker qualification.

Experience

8–10 years in tool-room / tool-and-die work, including team supervision. Tube/wire/metal-forming tooling experience

preferred.
