Job Summary

SR Group of Institutions, Jhansi is seeking a qualified and motivated educator for the role of Assistant/Associate Professor of English in the Department of Applied Science & Humanities. The primary focus of this position is teaching Professional Communication, Technical English, and soft skills to B.Tech students, alongside contributing to academic administration and student development programs.

Key Responsibilities

- Teaching & Instruction: Deliver courses in Technical English, Qualified Communication, Remedial English, and Soft Skills to undergraduate engineering students as per the AKTU curriculum.
- Lab Training: Conduct sessions in the Language Lab to enhance students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing (LSRW) skills, phonetics, and presentation abilities.
- Placement & Soft Skills Training: Train students for campus placements, including group discussions (GDs), mock interviews, resume building, and corporate etiquette.
- Curriculum & Assessment: Design lesson plans, prepare study material, frame question papers, and evaluate internal assessments and university end-semester examinations.
- Departmental Duties: Participate in departmental administrative tasks, NBA/NAAC accreditation documentation, and committee assignments.
- Research & Development: Engage in continuous research, publish papers in peer-reviewed journals, and attend workshops, FDPs, and conferences.
- Mentorship: Serve as an academic mentor,



guiding students in communication improvement and holistic professional growth.

Required Qualifications & Experience

1. Assistant Professor

- Education: M.A. in English / English Literature / Linguistics with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized university.
- Desirable: Cleared UGC-NET/SLET or holding a Ph.D. in English (preferred as per AICTE/UGC guidelines).
- Experience: 1 to 6 years of teaching experience in an engineering or technical institution. Freshers with exceptional communication skills and strong academic credentials may also apply.

2. Associate Professor

- Education: Ph.D. in English / Applied Linguistics / ELT (English Language Teaching) mandatory, along with an M.A. in English (min. 55%).
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of teaching/research experience in higher education, with at least 2–3 years post-Ph.D.
- Research: Demonstrated record of research publications in UGC-CARE, Scopus, or SCI-indexed journals.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Excellent command over spoken and written English.
- Strong pedagogical skills tailored to engineering students learning English for professional contexts.
- Proficiency in running interactive digital Language Labs and utilizing modern Teaching-Learning Tools (PPTs, LMS, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and student mentorship abilities.
