JOB PURPOSE:

The incumbent is required to carry out Electrical design engineering for ongoing & upcoming projects. In this role he/she will need to coordinate with consultant’s, vendor’s & intra disciplinary department’s like layout, structural/civil, mechanical, Instrumentation, etc. and also carry out review as well as necessary developments of design drawings & documents based on requirement of project ensuring that all the quality assurance/control programs, procedures and activities are being adhered to.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

 Reports to the Lead-E&I.;

 Works closely with Project management team and other internal and external stakeholders.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Develop/review Design basis reports, electrical load lists, SLD, equipment sizing calculations, other design calculations, layouts, schedules, etc.

 Develop/revise technical specifications, BOQ & tender drawings based on conceptual/basic designs and in accordance with industry standards & codes.

 Review technical offers, GTP’s, drawings, etc. in accordance with the tender requirement & prepare technical bid evaluation reports.

 Review consultant or vendor design engineering documents and recommend for approval to discipline lead for manufacturing clearances.

 Review design engineering related studies like Motor starting & acceleration study reports, Voltage drop calculation studies, Load flow studies, Short circuit studies, Insulation co-ordination studies, power system studies, Relay co-ordination studies, etc. and recommend for approval to discipline lead.





 Liaises with internal and external stakeholders for design developments, as required.

 Assists project execution team in erection & commissioning activities & carrying out field surveys to update "As-Built" drawings of facilities.

 Maintain complete documentation for approved design & release updated ones in case of revision based on feedback or project requirement.

 Performs any other related duties and responsibilities consistent with the job title/position.

KEY SKILLS

Must include proficiency in Microsoft office tools like Excel, word, as well as CAD software, ETAP robust attention to detail, excellent technical and communication skills, and a thorough understanding of relevant technical standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

 Full time Degree in Engineering/Technology in Electrical from Government / reputed private institute.

 Minimum Five years’ relevant experience.

 On-site exposure through training or working experience.

 Certification in AutoCAD & ETAP will be given higher weightage.

Requirement to strengthen our engineering capabilities and ensure timely execution of project deliverables, we propose hiring engineers on a Fixed Term Contract (FTC) basis for a period of minimum one year.
