About the Role

Algoptions Technology Private Limited is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Python API Developer to

contribute to the development of algorithmic trading products and financial technology solutions.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Python, FastAPI, REST APIs, database development, and API

integrations. Experience working with stock exchange/broker APIs, ODIN, Trade Lab, or similar trading platforms will be

highly valued.

The candidate will develop and maintain high-performance APIs, integrate multiple brokers with our trading platform, mentor

developers, and contribute to scalable production systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize high-performance APIs and backend services using Python and FastAPI.
- Analyze application interfaces and design effective API integrations.
- Integrate different stock brokers and trading APIs with the algorithmic trading platform.
- Work with broker APIs, authentication mechanisms, redirect URLs, and related trading workflows.
- Develop new APIs and interfaces for existing services while maintaining a well-documented API/service catalog.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Analyze complex programming and system-level problems and recommend effective technical solutions.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to understand current and future business requirements.
- Design and document data flows, system integrations, and technical architecture.
- Develop scalable solutions capable of supporting production workloads.
- Work with databases and ensure efficient data access and query performance.
- Contribute to deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of applications in production.
- Prepare and manage reports related to algorithmic trading products.
- Mentor and guide other developers and assist in managing technical deliverables.
- Ensure code quality, maintainability, security, and performance across backend services.





Required Skills

- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Strong experience with FastAPI.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs.
- Experience with OAuth 2.0 authentication.
- Understanding of API integrations and redirect URLs.
- Strong SQL/MySQL database skills.
- Knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms.
- Experience working with third-party APIs and integrations.
- Experience with JQuery and web application development.
- Good understanding of software development and testing practices.
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure.
- Experience deploying and supporting applications in production environments.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in the fintech / stock market / algorithmic trading domain is preferred.
- Experience in stock broker API development, trading platform integrations, ODIN API, Trade Lab API, market/trading APIs,

algorithmic trading systems, or financial technology applications will be preferred.

Qualification & Experience

Bachelor’s degree / B.Tech or equivalent qualification.

2–5 years of professional Python development experience.

Minimum 2 years of experience with FastAPI, MySQL, API, and web application development is preferred.

Experience in API development and system integrations is highly desirable.
