1. Executive Summary & Leadership Opportunity

Antila World Systems Private Limited is establishing a precision manufacturing hub in Additional Patalganga MIDC dedicated to manufacturing high-integrity marine hardware, Camlock couplings, high-velocity pressure/vacuum (HVPV) valves, marine vent heads, deck fittings, and structural closures.

This role offers an end-to-end operational leadership opportunity to take full command of factory production, master scheduling, and strategic capacity planning. We are seeking an operational leader with foresight, planning discipline, and team leadership to establish and sustain the company’s Quality Management System (ISO 9001 / Class standards), oversee raw material procurement and warehouse inventory controls, and ensure 100% adherence to international marine classification rules (IRS, DNV, ClassNK, Lloyd’s Register).

2. Core Responsibilities & Detailed Scope of Work

A. Production Planning & Capacity Control (PPC)

- Formulate, drive, and control the Master Production Schedule (MPS) across monthly, weekly, and daily horizons to balance high-precision marine OEM jobs with volume contract manufacturing.
- Plan equipment loading and shift allocations across primary machines—including the Ace Micromatic CNC Turning Center, BFW BMV50 3-Axis VMC, Laser Welding, hydraulic press cells, welding stations, and hydro-testing bays—to achieve 85% machine utilization with zero idle spindle time.
- Mitigate workflow bottlenecks through active cycle-time analysis, resource reallocation, and line balancing.

B. Quality Management System (QMS) Implementation & Maintenance

- Architect, implement, and maintain the factory’s Quality Management System (QMS) compliant with ISO 9001:2015 and international Marine Classification Society standards.
- Draft, standardize, and enforce all plant Quality Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
- Lead scheduled internal quality audits across design, procurement, machining, assembly, and testing; conduct periodic Management Review Meetings (MRM).
- Direct structured root-cause analyses (8D / 5-Why methodology) for internal rejections or customer deviations, driving permanent Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Oversee master calibration schedules for all plant inspection tools, pressure gauges, test rigs, and measuring instruments.

C.

Raw Material Procurement & Vendor Management

- Formulate technical specifications and bill-of-material requirements for alloy grades (SS316, SS316L, SS304, Duplex 2205, Gunmetal, Bronze, and Marine Carbon Steels) in accordance with Class design rules.
- Identify, audit, and approve certified steel stockholders, foundries, forge shops, and sub-tier service providers (heat treatment, plating, pickling/passivation).
- Oversee Inward Quality Assurance (IQA): physically inspect incoming heats and lots against Mill Test Certificates (MTCs EN 10204 3.1/3.2), confirming chemical, mechanical, and dimensional compliance before Goods Receipt Note (GRN) authorization.
- Approve technical suitability on all major procurement orders for tooling, carbide inserts, consumables, and steel inventory.

D. Stores, Inventory Management & Full Traceability (ERP-Driven)

- Establish and monitor dynamic Min-Max stock levels and Reorder Points (ROP) for fast-moving raw metals, machine consumables, and critical spares to eliminate stockout-related plant delays.
- Enforce 100% material accounting within the ERP system across raw material stores, work-in-progress (WIP) tracking, and finished goods yards.
- Enforce positive material identification (PMI), color coding, heat-number stamping, and batch serialization from raw billet inwarding to finished-part dispatch for Class surveyor audits.
- Track scrap generation at cutting and machining centers against nesting targets; manage segregated scrap logging and disposal.

E. ERP Implementation & Shop-Floor Governance

- Supervise the daily generation and execution of ERP digital Work Orders, Job Cards, and operation routing sheets.
- Review ERP production variance reports, standard-vs-actual cycle times, machine downtime logs, and maintenance records to continuously improve throughput.
- Institutionalize 5S workplace practices, safe material handling, and statutory safety compliance (Factories Act) to maintain an audit-ready shop floor at all times.

F. Maritime Class Approvals, Prototyping & Factory Testing

- Serve as the primary technical interface for IRS, DNV, and third-party inspectors during witness inspections, factory audits, and certification trials.
- Direct the manufacturing and testing of First-Article prototypes for Marine Type Approvals, overseeing hydrostatic proof-pressure tests, pneumatic leakage tests, and structural load assessments.
- Review and sign off on Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) reports, manufacturer test certificates, and final release dossiers.

3.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Marine Engineering. An MBA or diploma in Operations/SCM is an added advantage.
- Experience: 8 to 12 years of progressive manufacturing experience in precision machine shops, flow-control valve manufacturing, marine equipment engineering, or precision fabrication.
- Leadership Track Record: Minimum 3 to 5 years in a plant leadership role (Plant Head, Works Manager, or Senior Production Manager) with direct responsibility for production operations, planning, quality, and material procurement.
- Domain Exposure: Must have worked in facilities governed by Marine Classification Societies (IRS, DNV, ABS, LRS) or audited under API/ASME standards.
- Certifications: ISO 9001:2015 Lead/Internal Auditor, Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or ASNT Level II credentials preferred.

4. Technical Competencies

- Machining & Tooling Acumen: Strong working knowledge of CNC Turning Centers, 3-Axis/4-Axis VMCs, GD&T;, cutting tool optimization for stainless alloys, and pressure-testing rig configurations.
- Quality & Procurement Frameworks: Deep practical familiarity with ISO 9001 clauses, QAP/ITP formulation, NDT methods, and raw material mill test certificate (MTC) validation.
- Maritime Regulations: Thorough understanding of SOLAS rules, Class requirements for marine piping/closures, and hydrostatic/pneumatic test codes.

5. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- On-Time In-Full (OTIF) Delivery: 98% adherence to scheduled customer delivery commitments.
- Quality & Audit Success: Zero critical non-conformances (NCRs) during external ISO/Class surveillance audits; First-Pass Yield (FPY) 98% on Class witness inspections.
- Scrap & Rework Control: Plant scrap generation kept below 2.0%; shop-floor rework rate held under 1.5%.
- Inventory Availability: 0% plant downtime caused by material stockouts; store inventory variance 1.0%.
- Asset Uptime (OEE): Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) maintained at 85% across primary CNC and VMC machining lines.
